American Red Cross

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
The American Red Cross is committed to fostering an environment where all individuals engaged in our humanitarian mission feel respected and valued. Across the organization, we align our mission delivery with a commitment to access and consistency in how we serve and collaborate.
We recognize the varied experiences of our workforce, partners, suppliers, and donors, and we strive to ensure that opportunities to engage and contribute are open and meaningful to all. We welcome everyone to join us—locally, nationally, and globally—as we deliver help and hope to those in need. Learn more at our Culture of Belonging page!
All Are Welcome, All Belong
Red Cross Team Member Resource Groups provide year-round opportunities for employees and volunteers to connect, learn, and support one another while strengthening our workplace culture and mission delivery. Open to all Red Crossers, these groups foster engagement across shared interests and experiences, and offer a platform for peer connection, awareness, and employee voice.

Our Team Member Resource Groups
At the American Red Cross, Resource Groups connect employees and volunteers. They are forums for all Red Crossers to have an opportunity to express themselves, gain professional development experience and contribute to and support organization goals. Resource groups are not restricted to self-identified community members; allies are welcome!
The Ability Network Resource Group, Asian American and Pacific Islander Resource Group, Pride Resource Group, African American Resource Group (Umoja), Veterans+ Resource Group, Latino Resource Group (VIDA), and Women’s Resource Group are all open to everyone, represent diverse communities and their allies and focus on the topics of well-being and intersectionality, helping give an authentic voice to important concerns and opinions.
Our Resource Groups play an integral role in helping to serve our mission, above and beyond creating a valued social connection. Each year, our Team Member Resource Groups host and curate events for the month-long series Allyship in Action. From mentorship programs to professional development, to assisting with policy & communications, we are proud of the work being done.
